Questions parents usually ask
Isn't this just a slower way to do what clippers do?

No — it does a different thing. A clipper shortens the nail and leaves a straight cut edge with two corners on it. This one rounds the edge. That's why nails can be short and still catch on skin and fabric. Most people who switch say the whole hand takes under five minutes once they've done it twice.
Will it wake them?

Most parents do both hands during a nap. It makes a low buzz rather than a whine — in the reviews it comes up again and again: "even though it was vibration sound, it is mild and doesn't wake the baby." Start on the low setting, which is quieter again.
Can it hurt them?

There is no blade on it. The heads are graded abrasive pads and the newborn head is the finest of them. Use a light touch and keep it moving — don't hold it in one spot, because friction makes heat, the same as any file. If they're unsettled, stop and do the other hand later.
Which head do I use?

Yellow for 0–3 months, salmon pink for 4–11 months, green for 12 months and over — three heads, one per stage. The silver grit pad, the white wool pad and the metal columnar bit are for adult nails: callus, polish and edges. So it's three for your baby and three for you. We print this because nobody else does.
What if the motor gets weak?

I've read that happens. You've read right — it's the most common complaint in this category, and the cause is almost always the same thing: pressure. It's a small motor by design. Pressing hard doesn't file any faster, it just tires the motor — the spinning head does the work on its own. A very light touch, kept moving, is the whole technique. Can I use it on my own nails?

Yes — three of the six heads are made for exactly that: the silver grit for callus and dead skin, the wool pad for polish, and the columnar bit for edges and gaps. It's a finishing tool for adult nails, not a salon drill, and that's what those three heads are graded for.
Will it still be useful when they're older?
